About Pimcore. Pimcore is composed from two main parts : Pimcore Data Manager and Pimcore eXperience Manager.

Pimcore is the only open source platform bringing PIM, MDM, CMS and E-commerce fucntionalities all together.

These different modules can be used within the same project to manage for instance all data quality, have a repository, keep images as a librairy.... that project can also provide product information to end users via a web site to present all the portfolio and maybe sell on line, or provide internal and confidential information to the different company teams via a complete intranet site.

Nevertheless, these modules can of course be used separately. One needs a PIM while another needs a pure CMS... both can be completely and rightfully designed with Pimcore.

Pimcore main functionnalities are represented in two groups :

- "Pimcore Data Manager", summarizing all functionnalities concernaning data management

- "Pimcore Experience Manager" encomprising the CMS, e-commerce, customization features and user eXperience.
